ABOUT We raise awareness to missing murdered Aboriginal women across Canada, provide support to the families, and help at risk youth. While promoting positive female role models. MISSION To spread awareness of the issue of missing women across Canada, promote positive role models , help at risk youth, and provide support for the families of missing and murdered women( and men!) SOCIETY OVERVIEW The purpose(s) of the society is (are): To assist family members of missing and murdered Aboriginal women. To raise awareness of the issues of violence towards Aboriginal women and to work to prevent incidents of violence from occurring. To offer free dance classes to at-risk youth. To connect role models and their families to at-risk youth. To establish similar and related services as recommended by the membership and committee. Butterflies in Spirit is a Dance troupe consisting of Aboriginal women, some of which are relatives of the missing and murdered women.
