San Francisco’s renowned luxury clothing and gift shop offering some of the world's finest brands. - Founder Michael Sabino has been a fixture in San Francisco ever since his doors first opened across from the Balboa Café in Cow Hollow. - Michael’s classic elegance is reflected in some of the most beautiful clothing and accessories found on the West Coast. It is one of the reasons BUTTON DOWN is considered a jewel of the Upper Sacramento Street retail area and a must visit when shopping in the elegant Presidio Heights neighborhood of San Francisco. - In June of 2020, after 40 successful years, Michael decided the time was right to step away from BUTTON DOWN and transferred ownership to husband duo Ken Griffin and Dan Keenan, long time friends of Michael. Ken and Michael have worked in the fashion industry as colleagues for many years, so Michael felt this was a natural fit to see his business into the future. - Ken and Dan's plan going forward is simply to modernize the company. BUTTON DOWN now has an online store, buttondownsf.com; digital inventory and checkout system; enhanced in-store experience; and now even an in-house barbershop called JAMES. @ BUTTON DOWN. - As our many loyal customers often say, BUTTON DOWN is a great store...
