About Buzz Cinema
Buzz Cinema is a film festival celebrating and uniting creative people in and around Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire & Hertfordshire. For 10 days, it takes over the historic town of Leighton Buzzard with short films from emerging filmmakers and industry professionals. The concept for LB Film Fest began in the pub - where all good ideas begin! Organisers Lobke and Heni wanted it to be possible for local filmmakers to showcase their work to the people in their communities where they live. What began as an idea for a film screening grew quickly into a week long festival full of screenings, workshops and a 48hr film challenge. The first festival took place for the first time in September 2022 with over 200 attendees across six different events and five different local venues. We screened 20 independently made films and held three workshops. We're planning for an even bigger 2023! We're looking to build connections with schools, charities and organisations across Beds, Bucks and Herts to get more people involved.
