Homer Elementary is currently recognized as a No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon School by the United States Department of Education. Byng Schools is committed to providing a well-rounded educational program. Academic programs allow students to prepare for college as well as learn skills they will need in the workplace. Byng offers Advanced Placement courses, fields an Academic Bowl Team, and competes in scholastic contests across the state. Students also have numerous opportunities to develop leadership skills. Nine vocational programs: junior high business, high school business, Family and Consumer Sciences, Computer Assembly and Repair, Auto Mechanics, Tech Connect, Horticulture, and Production Agriculture provide hands-on experiences and opportunities to develop career skills.
