Byte Point is an extensible sim racing telemetry data platform. It provides simulator-specific plugins that normalize raw game data into a unified telemetry schema, and an ecosystem of applications that can consume, enrich, and share data. This enables a wide variety of use cases from performance engineering and driver coaching to motion immersion and hardware integration, all interoperable within a single data layer. Example Applications: Race Engineering – A race engineer agent app can analyze live telemetry and generate strategy suggestions as structured text. That text can then be consumed by a UI overlay app to render on-screen, or a voice synthesis app to deliver real-time audio calls. Dashboards & Hardware Integration – A dashboard app, or a microcontroller development board app (e.g., Arduino, ESP32, STM32), can process and display real-time telemetry on screens, LED shift lights, or external devices attached to a sim rig. Motion Systems – A motion control app can transform acceleration, orientation, suspension, and surface data into actuator commands for motion platforms, creating realistic surge, sway, heave, pitch, roll, and yaw effects. Tactile Feedback – A bass shaker control app can map engine RPM, gear shifts, suspension travel, tire slip, and surface type into vibration signals, enhancing immersion with tactile cues. Data Analysis & Coaching – A lap analysis app can compare telemetry traces against community data, highlight differences in braking points, throttle application, and racing lines, and feed that insight into overlay or voice apps.
