From the outset our principal activity was auditing of Italian brokers (Coverholders) on behalf of the London Market, and in the exercise of which we have paid close attention to operational procedures, with particular reference to issuing of documentation, financial controls, claims handling processes and regulatory compliance in connection with binding authorities granted by Interested Underwriters. Our intimate knowledge of both the local Market and applicable Regulations avails Underwriters with certain additional benefits including an profound understanding of placing/claims practices which may be gained only by having a permanent presence in Italy. Integral components of C&N’s planned business strategy always included the provision of specialist services, particularly TPA activities and training programmes. This led to C&N being awarded a significant TPA contract by a leading market exponent, and this field of operation is now fully active and progressive.
