C&V incorporated in 2008, however the collaborative partnership between Dr. Verna Benner Carson and Katherine Vanderhorst extends back 24 years. Together they bring over 45 years of combined experience in all aspects of senior care. They published the findings of two research projects demonstrating the clinical and cost effectiveness of behavioral health care. They are national experts on developing, operationalizing, and marketing financially successful programs. Their clinical expertise allows them to both empathize as well as problem solve alongside of family members – many of whom trying to keep the promise made to a loved family member that the family will never place that loved one. Dr. Carson and Katherine Vanderhorst draw on their extensive psychiatric home care experience to effectively mentor nurses and occupational therapists who are new to this field. Dr. Carson and Katherine Vanderhorst are passionate about both of the programs that they offer to providers and ensure that their customers receive every resource to be successful!
