Le CAB est un lieu de création et de diffusion multidisciplinaires à but non lucratif qui donne aux artistes la liberté d’expérimenter sans contraintes ni attentes externes. Bâti à même une ancienne maçonnerie de pierre installée au cœur d’Ahuntsic-Cartierville à Montréal, le CAB vient consolider la présence des artistes dans le quartier en étant l’un des premiers piliers culturels importants établis dans la communauté. En valorisant la collaboration de créateurs et en soutenant l’accessibilité à l’art, le CAB souhaite établir les conditions idéales pour créer dans un environnement inclusif et participatif pour les artistes et la communauté. Avec une vision d’architecture durable et carboneutre, le centre est un espace ouvert où le patrimoine, le public et la création nouvelle se rencontrent pour donner naissance à un élan artistique montréalais alliant le local à l’international. The CAB is a multidisciplinary art space for creation and exhibition; a place that gives artists the freedom to experiment and create without being constrained by traditional expectations. Built on the foundations of a former stone masonry in the heart of Montreal’s Ahuntsic-Cartierville district, the CAB strengthens the local artistic community by providing a major new arts organization to the neighbourhood. By facilitating creative exchanges and supporting open accessibility to art, the CAB aims to establish an ideal environment for creation, one that is inclusive and collaborative for both artists and the community. Built around an architectural vision of sustainability and carbon neutrality, the centre is a space open to the general public where heritage and creativity merge to give rise and momentum to a new arts movement, where local inspiration meets international aspirations.
