About Cadmar

We are a consultancy that provides board level advice and support to the SME and charity sectors. We have over 40 years of identifying, reducing and managing geopolitical, governance, and reputational risk. Our specific geopolitical expertise is centred on Africa, South Asia, the Indo Pacific, and the Levant. We have a particular understanding of the Commonwealth. International roles have included HMG funded public sector programmes primarily focused on national security and law enforcement. Specifically, we have designed and delivered the operational activity of three national level institutions - two in Sierra Leone and one in Afghanistan. We have a strong track record in leading, advising, mentoring in a wide portfolio of Boards and senior leaderships in complex cultural and political circumstances and environments. Previously, we have overseen charitable ophthalmic surgical delivery in the refugee camps in the West Bank and Gaza, and recently in the remote communities above 2000m in Nepal's Himalayas. We have extensive small business and charity governance experience in the UK on risk, fundraising, heritage and health. Our law enforcement and security projects have involved anti-corruption operations, national security policy and coordination, and operations against organised crime. We have developed specialist knowledge on serious and organised criminal enterprise ranging from counter narcotics, commodity smuggling (timber, petroleum, and currency), maritime piracy, human trafficking, and the illegal trade in diamonds, rare metals, wildlife, and unregulated fishing.
