Cafe Cultura is a national tech ecosystem and experiential event startup focused uplifting, upskilling and connecting experienced, underrepresented professionals and supporting underrepresented founders. We directly challenge the myth that there is a lack diverse tech talent by giving our communities a platform and safe spaces to authentically belong, flourish and connect. We support underrepresented communities by prioritizing connecting cultures and building businesses through technology, innovation and experiential activations. We support our community through events for founders and opportunities for professional networking, recruiting, upskilling, learning and proactive product, initiative and startup scaling. Instead of talking about building things, we like to build them. Much like underrepresented communities may miss out on vital resources and ingredients for healthy living in “food deserts”, we believe our communities are often starved in “innovation deserts” where access to network, opportunity and vision is severely lacking. We are proactively changing that model by uplifting and showcasing the companies, entrepreneurs and partners that are pushing innovation, creating opportunities for career and economic disruption and creating the ecosystem necessary to accelerate access to tech pathways. We want our communities to be healthy with curiosity and opportunity. Our core values center around the idea of internet cafes whereby diverse cultures from all over the world come together to support each other’s businesses, create job opportunities, and support one another along the founder journey. We believe we can create powerful change by connecting to each other, building with each other and sharing resources. We especially love the cross section between underrepresented, international or first generation professionals.
