CAL Investments was established 40 years ago, originally as a London based broker-dealer. It's now an alternative investment fund manager (AIFM), and has been in the hedge fund space for the last 20 years or so. In the intervening years, the firm has managed funds with a variety of strategies, including global macro, leveraged FX, US consumer credit and litigation funding. The firm now offers a platform for managers to join and establish their own AIF, incorporating their own branding. In this regard, CAL provides the regulatory compliance infrastructure required to launch a fund, so facilitating a speedy route to market for aspiring managers.
