About Calabash Solutions

Since 2016, Calabash Solutions, a female-owned consultancy, has strived to always Cultivate Care. Co-located on the NSW South Coast and in metropolitan Sydney, this duality enriches our work. Regional NSW is disproportionately impacted by climate breakdown, experiences underinvestment in healthcare, education and digital infrastructure, and its economies offer gendered employment, under-employment or no formal employment at all. In metropolitan Sydney, urban living’s benefits – e.g. public transport, access to cool spots – are unevenly distributed while the downsides are overwhelmingly clustered in south-western and western Sydney communities. Calabash Solutions welcomes the opportunity to improve people’s lives so that in regional and metropolitan Australia, a more equitable, healthier and happier life is possible for all. Structure: Calabash Solutions, the trading name of the consulting arm of The Trustee for Calabash Family Trust, has three female directors with 75 years of combined professional careers in privacy, technology and compliance; applied psychology, human-centred design and research; and financial accounting and business management. Mission: Cultivating Care is our gravitational core. Our mission statement – the best version of ourselves emerges when we help others to be the best version of themselves – reveals how we work, with whom we work, and where. We commit to the ethic of care in all interactions with people and the organisations and digital systems that serve them. Respect for privacy, human dignity and autonomy are values we practice in our lives and work.
