About Calaveras Healthy Impact Product Solutions (CHIPS)

CHIPS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, established in 2004 in Calaveras County and now operates throughout Northern California. Our organization’s work centers on forest stewardship with a focus on wildfire prevention, fuels reduction and forest restoration. CHIPS performs large-scale forest fuels reduction throughout the Sierra Nevada, the Northern California Cascades and the Coastal Mountain range. CHIPS recruits, trains and equips crews throughout the mountain regions of California, with an emphasis on cooperation with Native American Tribes. In addition to large forest projects, CHIPS also provides services for private land owners of all sizes, in an effort to expand our wildfire prevention goals.
