About California Health Advocates
We are an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to Medicare advocacy and education in California. We provide accurate, unbiased information about Medicare benefits. Our website is used by professionals, community organizations and government agencies working directly with California's Medicare beneficiaries, and, of course, Medicare beneficiaries. We also support the work of local Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Programs (HICAP), which provide benefits counseling and community education. California Health Advocates is a grantee of the SMP (Senior Medicare Patrol) program. SMP is a federal program that educates consumers about health care fraud and abuse. The motto is Protect, Detect, Report!
