About California Latino Capitol Association Foundation
The California Latino Capitol Association Foundation (CLCAF) is a Sacramento-based non-profit focused on promoting the personal and professional development of Latino professionals in, around, and beyond the Capitol. As an organization dedicated to education, civic engagement, and professional development, our programming is critical to uplift our community. We host educational workshops, policy briefings, mentorship programs, internships, professional development courses, and networking events to foster a collaborative community for all of our members. As the oldest staff organization, CLCAF can trace its origins to 1975 when Latino staff decided to form an organization to create a community of their own in the Capitol. Over the years CLCAF has changed, evolved, and taken many different forms. We celebrate 2011 as a landmark year for the Latino Capitol community as that is when CLCAF's 501(c)(3) status was officially approved. While we are primarily dedicated to the empowerment of Latino professionals, our membership is not exclusively tied to those of the Latino diaspora. Any person interested in supporting the CLCAF and its purposes is eligible for foundation membership and we welcome everyone to become a member!
