The California-Mexico Studies Center (CMSC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit whose mission is to research, develop, promote, and establish policies and programs between higher educational institutions and cultural organizations that will enhance the teaching, mobility and exchange of faculty, students, and professionals between California and the U.S. with Mexico and other nations in the Western Hemisphere. The CMSC was founded by California State University Long Beach Professor Armando Vazquez-Ramos in 2010 as an extension of the California-Mexico Project that he has led since 1998 at the CSULB Chicano and Latino Studies department.
