CALM ENGINEERING is a civil engineering consultancy specialising in flood risk and water management. Calm Engineering was born from a desire to deliver a more sustainable nature based approach to engineering problems. Climate change is a real and present threat to the way we live our lives and we believe that the time for action is now. To continue building bigger and higher flood defences to protect our urbanised landscape is counter intuitive and counter productive. By taking a more holistic approach to the development of the built environment and the way we manage flood risk, Calm Engineering aims to develop a more sustainable future for communities by developing solutions that work with the natural environment instead of trying to bend it to our will.
