About CALM Training

CALM helps you understand, support and reduce behaviours that challenge. We provide training, consultancy and support to individuals and organisations across all sectors. Our aim is to empower you to better support those you work with in order to reduce behaviours that challenge over time. We design bespoke packages of learning and support to meet your needs and get you to where you want to be. We are also proud to be “CALMpaigners!” and are directly involved in many national and international research and policy development initiatives. We have been campaigning for the rights of vulnerable people and leading the field of behaviour support for over 20 years, and believe the best way to empower the movement is by empowering YOU with ‘best practice’ skills, and the knowledge that you are doing the right thing for those you support – and for yourself. While headquartered in Scotland, we work across the globe and pride ourselves on our continuing record of positive outcomes and our continuing absence of significant injuries, fatalities or litigation. It remains our belief that the CALM Training model is supported by a greater volume of valid independent research than any other approach on the market today. Our staff have deep and broad expertise across many fields of practice, academic theory, and research, and 90% of us have worked in human services in some form ourselves – which means we know your joys, your challenges, your passions and your frustrations! We’ve been there. And this makes us best placed to help you achieve your vision of support.
