About Calmbirth PTY

Calmbirth PTY LTD is one of Australia’s leading Childbirth Education Programs. It was developed by Peter Jackson, an Australian Midwife in 2004 to improve the emotional wellbeing of birthing families. His work is now carried on by his daughter and Midwife, Karen McClay and Calmbirth’s approx. 100 Educators who are all Midwives and Doulas. Time and time again, studies have shown that our Calmbirth Program not only increases the confidence of birthing couples but also increases their agency and autonomy and reduces unnecessary intervention rates.
