About Calrossy Anglican School
Calrossy is a "Diamond" school delivering the best education for every student, of every age. The Calrossy journey is one focused on the success and well being of every student, from Preschool to Year 12. It is a journey where every individual can learn, grow and serve in an inspiring environment. Calrossy, in Tamworth, North West NSW, has more than 1000 students, featuring Primary, alongside Secondary Girls/Boys and Boarding. The Diamond Model means boys and girls are together in Prep to Year 6, on the William Cowper Campus (WCC). Our Primary School is based on the William Cowper Campus and specialises in Literacy and Numeracy development. Secondary students are educated on both the William Cowper and Brisbane Street campuses, with junior secondary boys and girls enjoying separate classes, combining together in Years 11 and 12. Calrossy operates a separate Pre-School on our Brisbane Street Campus. The school offers a broad variety of sporting, musical and cultural programmes, designed to engage students and help them develop their interests and talents. We are a member of Hunter Region Independent Schools, providing sporting pathways to State level and National representation. In addition to our two academic precincts in the Tamworth area, Calrossy operates onsite and offsite Boarding facilities and a Trade Training Centre, specialising in Agriculture and Primary Industries. Having celebrated its Centenary in 2019, Calrossy is well known for its pastoral care, the quality of its teaching and learning and for assisting students to reach their academic potential. A strong commitment exists towards character development, preparing men and women for life and service beyond school. The Christian focus of the school is underpinned by the values of selflessness, integrity, resilience and inclusiveness. Calrossy's academic achievements in the past five years have placed the school as the leading school in the New England/North West region.
