Calzaturificio Carmens was founded in 1966 in Galzignano Terme (Padova) and entered the women’s footwear market with a B2B approach for international customers. It imparted the unique Italian manufacturing heritage through its quality products. In 2012, the company launched the private label Carmens, venturing into the B2C market. Today, Calzaturificio Carmens stands as a multinational company where research and organization go at the same pace to meet customer expectations with contemporary products. The design, prototyping, and customization process come to life in Galzignano Terme thanks to the know-how of our craftsmen. Production takes place in Italy and through plants located in Romania, Ethiopia, and Bangladesh. To guarantee high-quality standards, all the factories work in synergy with the headquarter. Year after year, we aim to improve the quality of our shoes. To date, all our suppliers guarantee REACH-certified components, complying with European regulations that impose strict limits on the presence of harmful substances to humans and the environment. From an environmental perspective, we contribute to the development of a more sustainable production by working with suppliers of leather certified LWG (Leather Working Group), ensuring better resource efficiency and controlled waste management. The company aims to continuously improve product and system quality while also focusing on environmental respect and workers’ safety. To preserve the excellence of global quality standards, we have adopted an Integrated Management System (IMS), obtaining the following certifications: • ISO 9001:2015: guarantees a high level of quality of the products, with a commitment to constant improvement of the production system. • ISO 14001:2015: ensures compliance with specific parameters to reduce environmental impact. • ISO 45001:2018: ensures optimal safety conditions for factories and the health of the staff.
