About Cambridge University Boat Club
The mission of Cambridge University Boat Club is to equip student-athletes to win boat races, prioritising excellence, wellbeing, and inclusivity. Our primary objective remains victory over Oxford in the annual University Boat Race, comprised of six races. The races are contested over the Championship Course on the River Thames, a gruelling four-and-a-quarter mile race. Student-athletes row in one of six crews -- the men's or women's Blue Boat, our reserve crews Goldie (men) and Blondie (women), or in our men's or women's lightweight crews.
