Hello and Welcome to Cameron Collects. Cameron is a young man living with an acquired brain injury, a result of surviving Pneumococcal Meningitis as a five month old baby. As an adult it is important for Cameron to have purpose, structure and meaning in his life and to help him achieve this we have created 'Cameron Collects'. Cameron will be collecting recyclable containers for 'Containers for Change WA'. Cameron Collects is a way for Cameron to connect with his community, have purposeful work and responsibility. Although Cameron is non verbal he is very sociable and loves to spend time with people. His smile fills a room and he communicates despite his lack of words. He sees the world through innocent eyes and loves to be included. Any funds raised through Cameron Collects will go to Cameron to purchase items for him. The first item we will save for is a car. Cameron loves cars and we know he would love to have his own car. Even though he’ll never be able to drive his car his support workers and family will be able to drive him in his car and he will experience the thrill of ownership and a level of control. Please register your interest for Cameron to collect your recyclable containers by sending us a message or email with your address. Collection Days : Monday: Mandurah and surrounds Wednesday: Pinjarra, Carcoola, Ravenswood, Murray Bend, North Yunderup, Austin Lakes, South Yunderup, Coolup, Meelon, Waroona, Hamel, etc Friday: Perth - suburbs including: Willetton, Bateman, Canning Vale, Piara Waters, Thornlie, Martin, Subiaco, Shenton Park, Daglish, Balga On Collection Days: please leave your recyclable containers at the front of your property in an easily found and accessible location. Cameron, with the assistance of his support worker, will collect your containers and take them to a Containers for Change WA recycle centre to recycle them.
