About CAMI Sport & Cancer

La CAMI Sport & Cancer est la première association qui développe et structure l’activité physique en cancérologie et en hématologie. Créée en 2000, elle est actuellement présente dans 29 départements, une trentaine d’hôpitaux et près de 80 villes en France, ce qui lui permet d’accompagner près de 3 500 patients par semaine et de bénéficier d’une reconnaissance médicale, institutionnelle et universitaire. Pour accompagner chaque patient sur l’ensemble de son parcours de soins et de vie, la CAMI Sport & Cancer a développé un modèle d’intervention unique et novateur en trois phases complémentaires : 1- à l’Hôpital pour les patients en début ou en cours de traitement (au sein de « Pôles Sport & Cancer » mis en place dans des services d’Oncologie, d’Hématologie, d’Adolescents et Jeunes Adultes ou d’Hémato-Onco-Pédiatrie), 2- en Ville pour les patients en cours ou fin de traitement ou en début de rémission (grâce à des séances en ambulatoire), 3- Médiété tout public pour lanciens patients, proches, aidants, professionnels de santé et plus généralement aux personnes souhaitant pratiquer pour améliorer leur qualité de vie et leur santé physique. Les programmes de la CAMI sont encadrés par des Praticiens en Thérapie Sportive : des experts, professionnels du sport et de la santé, tous détenteurs du Diplôme Universitaire « Sport et Cancer ».
