About Camp Maple Leaf
Camp Maple Leaf is a registered charity, providing children of Canadian military families and children who share similar unique life challenges a camp to call their own. We currently operate two overnight camps for children - our original flagship camp in the Kawartha region of Ontario and our newest location, opening in 2022 just west of Fredericton, New Brunswick. At each location, Camp Maple Leaf upholds a strong culture of inclusion and belonging, supports and celebrates our campers for who they are, and fosters friendships that follow them home. Established in 1955 by the Canadian Council of War Veterans Associations, Camp Maple Leaf has served thousands of children over its 65 year history. Our vision is that children with unique life challenges have camp friends who share their experiences and help them thrive. Our strategic focus: By 2024, we will serve 2000 children every year with unique life challenges at 3 camps, in 3 regions of Canada.
