About Camp Wa-Ya
WA-YA OUTDOOR INSTITUTE runs Camp Wa-Ya, a nonprofit summer camp in Olympia, WA. Camp Wa-Ya includes Day Camp for kids 6-13 and overnight trips for youth 9-17. We also offer Leadership programs, including a paid High School internship. All of our camps are entirely outdoors and campers spend their days exploring the landscapes and waterways of the South Sound. Wa-Ya's programs all incorporate environmental education, Indigenous culture and outdoor play. We focus on immersive hands-on and experiential learning, in small group environments. Through all of our camps, we build not only knowledge and understanding, but also resiliency and a sense of community, as well as an appreciation and joy for the natural world.
