About Camp Woodland for Girls
Camp Woodland occupies an 84 acre site on the shores of Sand Lake in the heart of the American Legion State Forest. Our waterfront, framed with birch trees, has 1500 feet of sand beach ideal for our outstanding aquatics programs. Our Climax Forest, one of the few remaining hemlock forests in the state, provides an incredible resource for our trail riders and nature explorers. Our facilities have been developed to provide complete recreation and camping opportunities for 70 girls ages 7 to 14 and a leadership training program for girls ages 15 and 16.
