About Campfire Industries, Inventor of The Wolf'em Stick
Campfire Industries manufactures and sells the Wolf’em Stick®, a cooking tool used to make Wolf’ems - a campfire treat that tastes so good that you “wolf them” down. To use the Wolf'em Stick you simply put a piece of refrigerated biscuit dough on the end of the dowel, bake it over a fire for 3-5 minutes using the patented rotary handle system, and then fill it with your favorite dessert or dinner filling. Filling options include pudding, pie filling, fresh fruit, taco meat, soup – the ideas are limitless! The Wolf’em Stick is a simple concept that has hit it big since the company was launched in June 2013. In September 2012, the business plan and prototypes were developed by Tanner Harrison (16) and his brother Spencer Harrison (13 years old). Campfire Industries markets to four target groups: scouts, camping enthusiasts, owners of RVs, and anyone who enjoys eating a tasty treat. Campfire Industries currently sells through retailers across the nation including Sportsmans Warehouse, Wegmans Food Markets, Intermountain Farmers Association Stores and KOA campground stores. The Wolf’em Stick is also sold online at www.wolfem.com. The concept of baking biscuit cups over a fire is relatively unknown. For example, Jim Rogers, CEO of KOA and an avid camper, was introduced to The Wolf’em Stick at the KOA National Expo in November 2014 and commented that he thought the product was “ingenious.” While potential purchasers are often instantly drawn to the rotary handle system of the Wolf’em Stick, they often mistakenly assume the product is another marshmallow roaster. During the past year the company has engaged with two marketing firms who have helped enhance packaging to catch the eye of potential purchasers and then explain the product at a glance.
