About Canadian Center for Abuse Awareness (CCAA)
The Canadian Centre for Abuse Awareness (CCAA) is a national non-profit, non-government charitable organization dedicated to eliminating child abuse through advocacy, education, public awareness and prevention programs. CCAA also provides accessible support, healing and individual empowerment for adult survivors, their families and caregivers through community and corporate partnerships. Since 1993, the CCAA has worked tirelessly to raise awareness about the true cost of neglect and abuse and supports over 125 agencies nationally including Children’s Services, victims services, shelters and other agencies that deal with children, women and men whose lives have been affected by abuse. That translates to over 200,000 people whose lives we touch across Canada each year. As a formidable force in lobbying for legislative reform through our Public Safety Advocacy program, the Canadian Centre for Abuse Awareness affects the whole population of Canada.
