About Canadian Society for Molecular Biosciences - Société canadienne des biosciences moléculaires

The Canadian Society for Molecular Biosciences is a professional association of active researchers in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology and Genetics. The CSMB is committed to the promotion of equity, diversity and inclusion in molecular biosciences across Canada – as a way of leveraging all our human capital. The CSMB plays an important role to foster interaction, communication and collaboration amongst discovery scientists, and to build the next generation of researchers for academia, industry and the entrepreneurial enterprise. CSMB sponsors an exciting theme-oriented meeting annually. Members receive substantially reduced registration rates for the annual meeting. The society participates in science advocacy and science policy activities which benefit all of us. Our advocacy efforts have been instrumental in persuading the federal government to increase funding for fundamental discovery research in Canada, however, there is still more work to be done. Through its award programs, the society acknowledges the research accomplishments of Canadian scientists.
