The Canadian Vocational Training Centre is a vocational training institution offering occupational training to individuals in the areas of business and computers where the goal is assisting our students to obtain employment as an end result. We are also the only recognized Certiport Testing Centre in Northern British Columbia for teaching the Microsoft Office Specialist courses. While college isn’t for everyone, education is! We believe that a greater involvement between the centre and the employer is essential in reducing the skills gap for old and young people alike. Additional services such as expanded work experiences and on-the-job training can help form the employers’ perspective in preparing todays work force for tomorrows careers. As such, at the Canadian Vocational Training Centre we view our students as partners and we encourage active participation with local employers thereby ensuring our students receive exactly what they need in order to be successful. The Principles of Practice employed by the Canadian Vocational Training Centre are closely aligned with “Adult Education Learning Theory.” Primarily, the Canadian Vocational Training Centre is a vocational training institution offering occupational training to individuals in the areas of business, hospitality, and computers where the goal is assisting our students to obtain relevant employment as an end result. The management of the Canadian Vocational Training Centre has had a long history of being a government partner when there is a need for providing employment services to select target groups. These programs have helped thousands of individuals move forward and become employed as a result of the training provided. Our Mission Statement clearly outlines our philosophy; all staff members at the centre are required to keep our Mission Statement in focus during all interaction with our students.
