About Canavua Yyc
CANAVUA (Canadian Volunteers United in Action) is a non-profit organization offering services in Alberta. Initially established in Edmonton and its surrounding area, CANAVUA starts today its first branch in Calgary, CANAVUA YYC, to respond to the demand of a growing community. Our mission is to : - Promote and boost volunteering in the community - Help organizing assistance towards people and organizations in need - Make the connection between mission-demanding volunteers and organizations seeking for volunteers easier What we do: - Health navigator Volunteer transportation service to accompany customers to their medical appointments in Calgary and surrounding areas. Our volunteers are supervised and follow an appropriate training to be able to accompany you safely. - Volunteer exchange program Our volunteers team is our very strength. You could be helped by our volunteers for your own action as well! We recruit, train volunteers and then place them into missions we previously identified with our partners (Community organizations, hospitals, authorities, associations, companies…).
