About Cancer Wellness Support
Cancer Wellness Support is an innovative, compassionate, community-driven organisation dedicated to providing holistic, person-centred care to individuals and their families, living with cancer. Our purpose is to help people and their families living with cancer to maintain their sense of control and balance, while offering hope and support during challenging times. Cancer Wellness Support operates within the Blue Mountains, Penrith and Hawkesbury regions of New South Wales and offers affordable cancer care within a community environment. Our qualified and highly experienced complementary therapists work in collaboration with primary and secondary health service providers to achieve the objectives of the Australian Cancer Plan. However, with a growing number of people diagnosed with cancer, our wellness centres are often stretched to meet local demand. Our services have been entirely self-funded through our op shops, fundraising activities and the generosity of community. To continue meeting the growing demand and to expand our range of services, we are seeking to engage with partners who understand the importance of our work.
