About Candlelighters Houston

But they are not alone, because we have been where they are. We are Candlelighters Parent Consultants. We have stood by our children as they fought childhood cancer, and now we’re here to stand with you; to provide daily support filled with words of hope, gestures of kindness, and knowledge and understanding. We’re here to be a shoulder to cry on and the cheerleader in your corner; we’re here to be the light in your darkest hours. Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Family Alliance Houston provides emotional, educational and practical support to children with cancer and their families receiving treatment in the Texas Medical Center. Candlelighters serves all children with cancer and their families at every stage of their journey. Our support extends to families of children on-treatment, long term survivors, adult survivors, and those whose child lost their battle with cancer. Cancer does not discriminate and neither does Candlelighters. All our programs and services are offered at no cost to families of children with cancer; once a Candlelighters family = always a Candlelighters family.
