About Candour Productions
Candour Productions is a female led, multi-award winning independent production company, based in Leeds in the UK. We create powerful, premium documentary films that make a difference. Our Founder Anna Hall took home the hugely prestigious Grierson Trustees award in 2023; she’s the only woman ever to have been nominated in two consecutive years for Best Factual Director at the BAFTA Craft Awards, and in 2021 she won Best Producer at the Women in Film & Television Awards. In 2023 we won the BAFTA Factual Series for our 3-part box set for Sky, Libby are you home yet?; the Broadcast Digital Award for best True Crime in 2023; the RTS Journalism Award; The AIB for Best Investigation; The Women in Film & TV Best Factual Award. In 2023 we were nominated for the Best Small Indie at the Edinburgh TV Festival Awards; and we won best indie at the Yorkshire RTS Awards for the 3rd time in 4 years! We also were thrilled to make it onto the Winners’ List for Broadcast Best Places to work in TV in 2024. We are currently in production on our hit ground-breaking 360 access series Cause of Death for Channel 5 and our new premium box set feature doc series for C4, The Push.
