About Cane and Able Exercise Physiology
Founded by Australia's first blind Exercise Physiologist, Cane and Able was created to achieve three main goals: 1. Make exercise therapy more accessible. Through my own lived experience of disability and drive to support my community, I wanted to provide care that's flexible as well as more cognisant and understanding of client's needs. 2. Make it more affordable: I charge far below virtually any other providers in Brisbane. It may sound cheesy, but my passion is for supporting others, especially people living with disabilities. I've had my disabilities from birth, and know what it's like trying to find affordable, understanding and accessible services - so I wanted to make it a priority to help others get more out of their Medicare, NDIS, or other funding. 3. Show people that those living with disabilities are much more capable than most believe. I've faced many negative attitudes and beliefs that I'm incapable; as many other professionals with disabilities have and still continue to face. Through my work, I want to shift these negative attitudes and beliefs of disability. This motivation not only fuels my work with every client, but is also at the core of my business.
