About Cannabis Justice & Equity Initiative
New York's adult-use cannabis legalization expunged hundreds of thousands of criminal convictions for cannabis. Yet, these citizens, and their communities, disproportionately justice-harmed, are not equipped to overcome the systemic barriers to access the resulting economic opportunities to repair their lives. Our goal is to develop a skilled labor force of 1500 candidates annually coming from the communities disproportionately impacted. We strive to create a pipeline for access to related employment opportunities in & from the cannabis market. It is here, where we boldly believe it takes a village.
