Colomba Bianca è stata fondata nel 1970. Nel corso degli ultimi 10 anni, sotto la guida del presidente Leonardo Taschetta, è diventata la più grande cooperativa vitivinicola siciliana. L'azienda oggi conta circa 2480 soci e si estende lungo 7500 ha di vigneti tra le province di Trapani, Palermo, Agrigento, Caltanissetta e Ragusa, con 5 cantine distribuite su tutto il territorio. I vigneti sono ubicati in zone che godono di una vasta diversità pedoclimatica, dalla zona costiera fino a un'altitudine di 600 metri sul livello del mare. Lavoriamo affinché gli agricoltori ricevano il giusto compenso per il loro lavoro. Ciò significa dignità per l’agricoltura siciliana e vini che esprimono il meglio del nostro territorio. Per questo ogni vino è dedicato ai nostri agricoltori. Colomba Bianca è il più grande produttore di vino biologico in Italia. Attualmente la produzione biologica è di 11.000.000 litri, ovvero il 22% della produzione totale ------------------ The Colomba Bianca winery was founded in 1970. During the last 10 years, under the guidance of our Chairman Leonardo Taschetta, it has become the biggest wine growing co-operative in Sicily. The company today, can, in fact, count on circa 2480 partners and extends along 7500 hectars of vineyards between the provinces of Trapani, Palermo, Agrigento, Caltanissetta e Ragusa, with 5 wineries distributed in the whole territory. The vineyards can be found in areas which benefit of a vast pedoclimatic diversity, from the low coastal areas up to an altitude of 600 metres above sea level. We work with the aim that our farmers receive the right compensation for their work. This adds dignity to Sicilian agriculture and to the wines which express at best our territory. It is for this reason that each one of our wines is dedicated to our farmers. Colomba Bianca is the biggest producer of organic wine in Italy. At present the organic production is at 11.000.000 litres, in other words, 22% of the total production.
