CapCity BTC is an organization formed by members of the Sacramento Bitcoin MeetUp, the longest running cryptocurrency meetup in Sacramento. We are a determined, motley crew united by a deeper purpose to inspire the adoption of Bitcoin, cryptocurrency, blockchain and web 3.0 through education and outreach. CapCity BTC acts as a community beacon -- empowering people with a place for open discourse. We host free Meetups, affordable educational workshops, and community outreach events in the Sacramento area. We strive to host events that provide value to a diverse crowd, serving as a facilitator and advocate for creative people, leading-edge projects, and novel ideas. Additionally, we support the global crypto revolution by leveraging our location. Sacramento is the capital of California, the world’s 5th largest economy. By acting as an educational point of contact for legislators, we hope to encourage positive, informed policy-making that embraces technological innovation. Most of all, we hope to inspire members of this community to envision a world where every individual has ownership of their value.
