S. Wilder & Co./Cape Cod Lanterns was founded in 1836 in Holliston, MA and is one of the oldest continuously operating businesses in the Commonwealth. Started by Sydney Wilder and his brothers, S. Wilder made copper shallow-well hand pumps, which were sold the world over. Since the 1920s, S. Wilder has been making brass and copper lighting fixtures. Our lighting is made by hand just as the original lighting was. S. Wilder/Cape Cod Lanterns is unique in presenting to the public a high quality, handcrafted product. The origins can be traced to early colonial days in America. S. Wilder & Co. also represents other companies who are handpicked by us and meet our high standards of quality craftsmanship. We are proud to be a dealer for Cape Cod Wind and Weather Indicators. Mounted on the wall indoors, these high quality precision instruments will fascinate family and friends! Visit our shop and showroom to see a large variety of handcrafted sconces, post lights, wall lights, hanging lights, landscape lights, and chandeliers in solid copper or solid brass.
