About Cape Motor Repairs

From the early 1970’s Mr. Salvan Moodley is a prominent name in the motor trade. Mr. Moodley joined Cape Car Sales in the 1970’s. A few years later he initiated the introduction of a second hand motor spares business within the company, thus forming Cape Spares. In the mid 1980’s he was promoted as a buyer for the holding company, Market Motor Group. In 1992, Salvan decided to start his own business, and Cape Motor Repairs was formed. A 200 sq/m. workshop was rented in Parow Valley. The business grew substantially as Cape Motor Repairs undertook insurance work for numerous insurance companies. In 1995, Cape Motor Repairs re-located to larger premises, 98 Connaught Rd, Parow Valley. Early in 1996, the workshop was fitted with more advanced tools and machinery. We continue improving our workshop status and appearance over the years. Cape Motor Repairs ventured to higher grounds, which forced another change in 2001. The existing premises and the neighboring premises were purchased. In 2004, another renovation took place. The premises underwent a complete makeover, which added 400m/sq to our workshop area and better facilitated offices. The offices are fully equipped with computerized quotations and operations, and a section of the office is allocated to assist clients with claims registrations and queries. Cape Motor Repairs contributes dearly towards religious and charitable organizations on a regular basis. We also involved in sponsorship of motor racing and events.
