About CAPI - Communities Advancing Prosperity for Immigrants
CAPI, originally called The Centre for Asian and Pacific Islanders was founded in 1982 by a coalition of church groups helping refugees arriving from Southeast Asia in the aftermath of the Vietnam conflict. Since then our services have expanded towards refugees and immigrants arriving from East Africa, Nepal, Burma, and many other countries around the world. We exist to advance prosperity for immigrants with assistance from a diverse, multi-lingual and caring staff committed to holistic, affirming services to help people of all nationalities adapt, lead successful and productive lives, and give back to our Twin Cities regional community. CAPI is committed to fair housing for all.
