About Capital City Awning

Capital City Awning has been owned and managed by three generations of the McConnell family since 1946. Capital City Awning employs over 45 employees, and with annual sales that have averaged over $4 million during the past five years, we are one of the largest awning companies in the Midwest, both in terms of employees and sales. We specialize in fabric awnings for retail, restaurant, and other commercial and institutional customers, but we also provide awnings for residential customers in our area. We also design and fabricate unique fabric items that meet our client’s needs, including fabric visual components for retail stores. We have developed long-term relationships with many retail and restaurant companies that depend upon us to provide consistent awning quality and reliable service to their new and existing locations throughout the country: Bath & Body Works, Victoria’s Secret, Express, Henri Bendel, Intimissimi, Lane Bryant, McDonald’s, Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, Coldwater Creek, Gymboree, Crazy 8, Justice, Pac Sun, Delia*s, kate spade White House/Black Market, DSW, Origins, Godiva Chocolatier, Wendy’s, Panera Bread, Bob Evans, PIADA Ocean Prime, White Castle, Cameron Mitchell, Vitamin Shoppe, Eddie Bauer, Whole Foods We provide design assistance and prototype development. We also provide repairs and other services for our awnings long after the construction project is complete.
