Capital Property Development CPD Inc., is a privately owned real estate company that develops, acquires and manages open-air lifestyle centres in and around the greater Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto areas. CPD has been in existence for almost 30 years starting as a retailer and growing into a real estate company. With its head office in Montreal, the company now owns a portfolio of properties in excess of 2 million square feet of GLA. Each of our centres is strategically located on major intersections, along highways and in retail nodes. CPD's open-air centres range in size from 50,000 sf to 360,000 sf of GLA and are conceived as destination retail locations for medium to high-end consumer goods with an emphasis on lifestyle, national and specialty retailers. Our diversified mix of tenants consist of home fashion, arts & crafts, high-end restaurants, golf and sporting goods stores, electronics, fitness centres, specialty food retailers and health food grocers. CPD actively manages both the build out of its centres and the on-going leasing, administration and maintenance. Future sites are carefully selected, taking into consideration the demographics, disposable income, customer profile, growth potential of the market, location at intersections of major highways and the proximity to regional malls and big box retailing. While we remain true to our retail roots, we continue to actively seek new and special development opportunities, keeping in mind both the tenant and the developer perspectives.
