About Capitol Center for the Arts
A nonprofit performing arts center with two venues in Downtown Concord, the story of the Capitol Center for the Arts is one of vision, hard work, and generosity. Thanks to the dedication of community leaders, the CCA opened its doors in 1995 marking a new era in Concord’s cultural and community life. Since 1995, the CCA has engaged outstanding performers from around the globe and welcomed patrons from throughout New Hampshire, New England, and beyond to experience live music, theatre, dance, and comedy as well as the best in broadcast presentations of opera, and other performances. Our history includes three successful capital campaigns – the first of which opened our doors, the second of which provided for critical updates to patron amenities, and a third, which opened the BNH Stage in 2019. We take seriously our role as an anchor in our community, welcoming everyone through our doors to come together for the shared experience of live performance. We look forward to expanding our programs beyond our theatre walls and continuing to be an important part of the thriving cultural sector and a leader in Concord’s creative economy.
