About Capitol Flag & Flagpole Company

Capitol Flag & Flagpole Company began in the 1960s as a steeplejack service painting and repairing flagpoles, steeples, stacks, tanks and light poles throughout the Mid Atlantic, Southeast and South. By the late 1960s after a stint in the U.S. Navy, Jesse Murphy, founder and current owner/operator, began quickly specializing in flagpole repair, maintenance, sales and installation. We are a major distributor and supplier for commercial and residential flagpoles and still specialize in the installation, maintenance and repair of flagpoles. We sell U.S., state, international, religious, historic and decorative flags and banners. We sell custom digitally dyed and appliqued flags and banners. We sell the accessories, parts and hardware related to the display and maintenance of flags, banners and flagpoles. We have just began our 41st year of service and have been at our current office, store and shop at 623 West Lane St. in Raleigh, N.C., since 1976. We are a family owned and operated business and pride ourselves on our excellent value and quality service. We continue our commitment to outstanding customer service.
