When we started out in 1959 as the Georgia Institute of Real Estate (GIRE), we began as an informal tutoring program operating out of our founders home. With hard work and unparalleled expertise, John and Dorothy Correll grew the humble foundations that began at their kitchen table into the most distinguished real estate institution in Georgia. Acquired by the Atlanta REALTORS® Association in 1980, we now serve the real estate educational needs of more than 16,000 students annually in Metro Atlanta and beyond. To celebrate almost 50 years of preparing students with the best real estate education in the state, we took to the drawing board to discover how we could help our clients exceed expectations in the modern real estate industry. And in 2018, GIRE relaunched as Capitus, Georgia’s premier academy in online and classroom courses, dedicated to always putting our students ahead of the curve.
