About CAPOSHIE
The story of two entrepreneurs on the path to serve an under served market and have fun while doing it. Howard, a successful retailer for over 25 years, left his position at his successful retail company for the retired life. That soon changed when he met a young enthusiastic entrepreneur! At the time Adelle and Erin had built a successful e-commerce company called Peau De Loup catering the tomboy in the form of reinventing the button down for women, as seen on CBC’s Dragons Den and as the official suit supplier for Team Canada during the FIFA Women’s World Cup. The idea of Caposhie came about when Howard and his wife expressed their frustration with the retail options available to couple during this next phase of their lives, becoming all to familiar with the phrase “I am not my mother!” They weren't ready to start shopping at the “Talbots” of the world but they couldn't quite fit into the likes of the “Aritzia” type retail spots. After countless meetings and a focus group filled with like minded boomers, the duo realized that boomers today are redefining “middle age”. They quickly decided to acknowledge this powerful and changing consumer group. Howard and Adelle joined forces in 2015 to create Noble Motives Collective which now houses both Caposhie and Peau De Loup. With this new vision in mind the two set out on their retail adventure! They opened their first brick and mortar location in Park Royal mall November of 2015. They quickly realized they needed to create experiences and services that were specifically tailored to this consumers needs, with an increased focus on quality, convenience and personalized service. Because let’s face it value never goes out of style. So while most retailers are pulling back on brick and mortar this duo see’s the potential in the Canadian retail market and are jumping in feet first. To date Caposhie has been curating collections for today’s modern boomers, gen-z and beyond.
