About Capsule Technologies
Capsule Technologies (Pty) Ltd was born from the idea of bringing to the video surveillance market innovative concepts for network video recording servers thanks to a software layer combining hyper-convergence and accelerated RAID technology. The software development is carried out internally, making it possible to offer high-end quality products at a very competitive price level. The South African market is in high demand for video surveillance infrastructure, it was therefore a natural choice to develop tailor-made turn-key solutions, adopted by more than 150 sites since the creation of the company. In 2017, Capsule Technologies decided to differentiate itself in the Milestone market by developing the Hyperdrive brand, with the goal of developing a range of products completely dedicated and optimised for Milestone XProtect®. CAPS-OS® offers free redundancy for XProtect® management server through real-time replication of virtual machines between two building blocks. In 2019, Capsule Technologies expanded into the European market, starting with the establishment of a French subsidiary, Capsule Technologies France SAS. From then, the main focus for Capsule Technologies is to leverage on virtualisation technologies to offer high-availability of servers through out a unique redundancy technology built-in CAPS-OS®, completely agnostic to the application running on the Virtual Machine. In 2021, Capsule Technologies is expanding its offering by answering the challenges of software Defined Infrastructure of any application, vertical and markets that require High Availability with a failover solution.
