Captain Fawcett is a multi-award winning manufacturer and purveyor of simply 'First Class Gentleman's Grooming Requisites’, based in King’s Lynn, Norfolk, UK. Back in 2010, Captain Fawcett founder Richard Finney was making Moustache Wax in a baked bean tin, purely for personal use. When his wife, a BAFTA and Emmy Award winning MUA, took a pot on set one thing led to another and so a business was born. Fast forward 15 years. Now sold in 45 countries, with more to come, Captain Fawcett has won multiple global awards for both product excellence and inspirational business practice. For 5 consecutive years the company has been a DBT Export Champion, with Richie Finney being awarded the MBE for services to International Trade and to Charity in 2025, followed by the prestigious Goldman Sachs 10KSB International Trade Icon Award. Richie, aka The Right Hand Man, says: 'It must be stressed, Captain Fawcett is the result of many people’s hard work. I’m just like a film director, or a conductor. I can’t play all the instruments, but I do know the sound they should make.’ And what of Captain Fawcett himself? The story goes that in 1905 the intrepid Edwardian explorer, Captain Peabody Fawcett R.N Ret’d disappeared whilst attempting to navigate the source of the Ubangi River. No trace was ever found of his seemingly doomed expedition...until that is, an old battered trunk purchased at a house clearance sale was found to contain an exquisite dressing case containing salves, unguents, ointments and the missing adventurer’s long lost journals. Amongst the many tales of derring do and wonders seen, were meticulously detailed lists of rare botanicals used in the Captain’s very own grooming requisites. These precise formulae have been faithfully followed and are now available to the discerning gentleman for the first time in over a century… Onwards.
